History
Citizens State Bank of Roseau was incorporated on May 3, 1905, under Charter Number 560, which still hangs in the lobby of the bank today. The bank was located in what today is the State Farm Insurance Agency on Main Ave. The first three Board of Directors were Bendix, Olaf, and Soren Holdahl.
CSB also assisted local homeowners in securing home purchases or re-financing during the historic low-interest rate environment throughout the pandemic. CSB is proud to have helped serve the immediate credit needs for 484 single-family real estate loans totaling $81.5 million during this time, and it will continue to service these customers for years to come.
A remodel was done on the bank and new technology was installed to bring Citizens State Bank to real-time transaction processing, allowing customers to see transaction activity on their accounts as soon as it occurs.
